The award-winning 3008 really pushed sales for Peugeot in the UK
Peugeot's car sales continue to outperform the market average after the marque announced that transactions were up by 7.7 per cent, while light commercial vehicles jumped by 24.2 per cent.
While the market as a whole saw new car sales fall by 11.5 per cent, Peugeot "continued its winning ways" by increasing sales volume and market share when directly compared to 12 months previously in November 2009.
In the last month alone, 7,617 new Peugeot cars were sold and pushed the organisation's market share to 5.45 per cent, up from 4.78 per cent in November 2009.
Peugeot's Just Add Fuel programme program to help new car buyers save more than just an "imminent VAT increase", combined with the popularity of the Peugeot 3008, 5008 and RCZ, were given the most praise for the company's continued growth in car sales.
In fact, the demand for the Peugeot 3008 saw it account for around 17 per cent of Peugeot's total sales in November, making it the second most popular choice of car after the ever-adored Peugeot 207.
At the beginning of December, Top Gear magazine announced that the Peugeot RCZ was its Coupe of the Year for 2010.
