Mercedes has offered motoring fans a glimpse of the new SLK and all it has to offer the world when it finally hits the road next year.

The sports car will arrive in the UK from June, with its revolutionary new design being tipped as a trendsetter for roadsters and many drivers could well be pleased with the new technology that's due to be included in latest SLK.

The all-new Attention Assist system is intended to detect drowsiness, by monitoring the level of driver attentiveness and sounding a warning if overtiredness is suspected.

Meanwhile, the new Pre-Safe Brake will stop the car automatically if a front-end collision becomes imminent. The technology can also prevent cars from rolling down hills backwards.

This sneak peak follows the unveiling of the all-new Mercedes-Benz Biome concept car at the Los Angeles Design Challenge.
