Peugeot 5008 collects yet another award - Scottish MPV of the Year
The Peugeot 5008 has been voted Scottish MPV of the Year by the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers at the annual Scottish Car of the Year Awards, held this year in St. Andrews.
The French brand's compact MPV beat off stiff competition from other more established MPV brands, including the shortlisted Ford S-Max and Mazda 5, for the top spot.
The 5008, a seven-seater, has already claimed awards including What Car? Best MPV, What Car? Green Awards MPV and Diesel Car magazine's MPV of the Year.
Andrew Didlick, communications director accepting the trophy on behalf of Peugeot, said: "Peugeot is really on a roll at the moment.
"This award is further demonstration of the progress and appeal of our new products and comes significantly in the brand's 200th anniversary year. The Peugeot 5008 really is the perfect family vehicle, so we are not entirely surprised it has collected a boot-full of awards in its first year."
Earlier in the week, Peugeot's latest generation electric vehicle, the i0n, won the 2010 Grünes Lenkrad - "Green Steering Wheel"- award in Germany.
