The Volkswagen Golf - the Association of Car Fleet Operators 'Fleet Car of the Year'
The Volkswagen Golf has been celebrated once more this week after it was awarded the Association of Car Fleet Operators (ACFO) Fleet Car of the Year accolade, meaning that the evergreen Golf is the most popular among the voters for the fourth consecutive year.
Members of the ACFO also felt that the VW excelled in a number of other categories and was voted runner-up in the Fleet Services Company of the Year awards, while the Golf BlueMotion came second in the Green Car of the Year category.
On top of this, the VW Caddy was runner-up in the Small Van of the Year segment.
ACFO chairman Julie Jenner said that the awards "represent the true face of fleet operations" and with over 130 nominations, the diversity of competition proved that VW had done itself proud.
She added: "Operating successfully in partnership means that through the availability of top quality vehicles and first rate suppliers, vehicle downtime can be kept to an absolute minimum and fleet managers can focus on the efficient and effective operation of their vehicles to support their businesses."
The ACFO has been in operation since the early 1970s and has the primary goal of supporting organisations who use cars and vans in their everyday business activities.
