Spyker fans will be pleased to know that the C8 Aileron Spyder concept has made its UK debut at MPH The Prestige and Performance Motor Show at Earls Court in London.

Touted as one of the most exclusive cars in the world, the 400bhp 4.2-litre V8-engined concept offering designed in the Netherlands "exhibits the exquisite aircraft-inspired signature detailing with which the Spyker brand is synonymous".

Air intakes are inspired by jet engine design, while exterior mirrors are mounted on two turbine fan blades and there's unique ten-blade, 19inch Rotorblade alloy wheels, too. In fact, the entire second-generation Spyker C-line sportscar "is inspired by the jet turbine era of aviation", according to the company.

The sharp-looking new concept also benefits from an all-aluminium space frame chassis as well as a new suspension system, while the body - also aluminium - is finished by hand by skilled artisans.

Spyker has been producing other rare items for enthusiasts people to own. A limited edition Spyker watch was announced as "the perfect Christmas gift for discerning motoring and watch enthusiasts" last month by the marque.
