VW reveals new Passat prices

VW has revealed prices for the ever-popular Passat model, now incredibly in its seventh generation and almost totally revised for 2011 model year.

You can go ahead and order the new car as of today, with the saloon costing from £18,470 (RRP OTR) and £19,745 for the estate model.

Practicality and economy have long been the buzzwords associated with the Passat range and VW has continued to build upon these desirable characteristics with further enhanced fuel efficiency, iPod connectivity and impressive safety features across the range.

Notably, the entry-level 1.6-litre TDI 105 PS beats the outgoing BlueMotion model with combined economy figures of 68.8mpg and 109 g/km of CO2, against 65.7mpg and CO2 emissions of 114 g/km CO2. The new car also promises to be a more relaxing ride thanks to better sound deadening.
