The Mazda5 - time for a test drive?
Seven-seater versatility, a new design and engaging style allows the all-new Mazda5 compact multi-activity car to meet the demands of the most active families around the UK, according to the company behind it.
The Mazda5 will be the first vehicle in production that has Mazda's distinctive Nagare design style, which it says is "inspired by the flowing elements found in nature".
Distinct contours are complemented by a five point grille and a steeply-raked windscreen angle creates a silhouette that is a "world away" from its other people carriers, it continued.
With a choice of three powertrains , notably a 2.0-litre DISI petrol and 1.8-litre petrol alongside a 1.6-litre turbo diesel, all use a six-speed manual transmission that delivers up to 54.3mpg.
"Exciting new Nagare styling, a range of punchy and clean petrol and diesel engines and seven-seater versatility - the New Mazda5 really is the ideal car for today's families," says Mark Cameron, director of sales for Mazda UK.
"And of course, this is a Mazda, so it will be an engaging and athletic drive, no matter who's on board and what the destination [is]."
Last month, Mazda broke a world record with its MX-5 roadster, entering the Guinness Book of World Records as 459 cars created the longest parade of any single car ever.
