The new 2011 Subaru WRX STI - 296bhp & 0-62mph in 5.2secs
Marking ten fast and furious years of the rally legend, Subaru has produced a brand new Impreza WRX STI, as the new 2011 model goes on sale from October 2010.
Subaru claims that the new design incorporates developments that "maintain the continual evolution of this iconic vehicle" but because of the popularity of the six-letter phrase "WRX STI", the latest 2011 generation of the Impreza will see the former moniker dropped and the new car will be known only as the Subaru WRX STI.
The four-door saloon version of the Subaru WRX STI is now available, once more owing to popular demand, marking the first time that four and five-door versions of the car have been sold alongside one another in the UK.
To refine the car's all-round performance, Subaru entered the car into a number of extreme "hot laps" around famous racing circuits, including the notorious Nordschleife at the Nürburgring in Germany.
Only 75 people were able to take delivery of the extremely rare Cosworth Impreza STI CS400 this year, which has so far impressed critics.
