The new Honda CR-Z - Top Gear's Green Car of the Year 2010
Top Gear has given the Honda CR-Z its Green Car of the Year award in the magazine's latest annual awards, making it four awards in as many weeks for the sporty car.
The publication praised the CR-Z for its balance of sporty looks, great handling and impressive fuel efficiency following a test of its abilities in the Third Ring district in China.
"Of all the cars we've brought to China, CR-Z is far and away the one [we] feel most at home with - and most excited about," Top Gear said. "Compact, accessible and responsive, it's a breeze to drive in this hectic and distracting place."
Other awards the CR-Z has recently been given include the What Car? Green Awards Best Sports Car gong as well as its Japan Car of the Year 2010-2011. Stuff magazine's heralded it as the Eco Gadget of the Year and at the RAC Brighton to London Future Car Challenge, it was given the Most Economic & Environment Friendly Sports HEV title.
Last month, Honda was named Britain's most reliable car manufacturer by the influential FN50 survey.
