The new Citroen C4's rev counter has been moved to the translucent display unit

Citroen has revealed the extent to which it has upgraded the new C4 range, adding more efficient engines and restyling the exterior and interior design.

Foremost among the updates is the introduction of two new fuel efficient petrol engines, co-developed with BMW.

HDi models will also come with new low-rolling resistance Michelin tyres.

In terms of exterior restyling, the main focus has been on updating the vehicle's front end, bringing the C4 closer to its more prestigious stablemate, the C5.

The rear lights of the C4 Coupe have now been finished in transparent crystal, with a choice of three new alloy wheel styles - 16-inch or 17-inch - pls two new body colours, Bourrasque and Recif blue.

Inside, the rev counter haas been relocated to the translucent central display unit and a plush grain is now featured on the dashboard and doors.

There is also an integrated scented air freshener.

Citroën's latest navigation system, NaviDrive, has also been introduced, which features a hi-resolution seven-inch colour screen with Europe-wide satellite navigation, real time traffic reports as well as an audio system with built-in 30GB hard drive. The system also offers a video auxiliary socket and a USB connection.
