Skoda's Octavia vRS now comes with £1,100 of new equipment as standard

Skoda has decided to pile the pressure on its rivals in the 'hot hatch' market by upgrading its Octavia vRS to a higher specification.

The first of this month saw the vehicle fitted with 18-inch Zenith alloy wheels, dual zone climate control and a jumbo box central armrest with 3.5 mm auxiliary in socket as standard.

Other new standard features include rear electric windows and cruise control.

Skoda claims over £1,100 of equipment has been added to both the petrol and diesel models with no extra charge.

Warren Richards, product marketing manager at Skoda, comments: "Skoda has always pledged to give motorists more car for their money.

"This generous equipment offer is sure to attract drivers looking for great performance, great looks, great driving experience and now even greater value."
