The new SRX Crossover will be designed with wet-weather traction in mind
Cadillac today revealed its 'next-generation' SRX Crossover, launching in mid-to-late 2009. The company is previewing the vehicle at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in Monterey, California.
Complete details will be released later this year, as the car debuts at a number of major global motor shows.
It will be replacing the current SRX Crossover, which launched in 2004 as part of Cadillac's continuing brand freshening campaign.
Cadillac says the new SRX Crossover is similar in styling and proportion to the Provoq Concept that attendees would have seen at the British International Motor Show in July 2008.
One of the major new developments for the new model will be an emphasis on wet-weather traction.
"The next-generation SRX, along with the new CTS Sport Wagon, showcases Cadillac taking its dramatic design into new directions, particularly cars and crossovers that are the right size at the right time for today's luxury consumers," said Jim Taylor, Cadillac general manager.
