The MyCar, an all-electric city vehicle, will be making its global debut at the British International Motor Show this week.

Designed by Giugiaro of Italdesign, made in Hong Kong and put on sale via the NICE Car Company in London in the autumn, the MyCar will start from £8,995 and come with a two-year warranty.

The MyCar has a range of around 40 miles in normal city driving, with a top speed of 40 mph and a recharge time of between six and eight hours.

With no CO2 emissions (and therefore no tailpipe), there is no road tax to pay. The MyCar will also be congestion charge exempt, with parking concessions available in many London boroughs and other parts of the UK.

Standard equipment for the MyCar includes electric windows and mirrors, a radio/MP3 player, 14-inch alloys, remote central locking, Hi/lo and boost button and LCD multifunction display.

Options include a glass roof or removable fiberglass version. MyCar can also be specified with 15-inch alloy wheels, leather interior, cooled and heated seats and a boot rack. All option prices are to be confirmed.

The MyCar is made of fibreglass reinforced plastic on a steel tubular spaceframe with tubular roll-bar. It has disc brakes and independent front and rear suspension.
