The C-Crosser range has been substantially enhanced by Citroen
Citroen has unveiled its new, enhanced range of C-Crossers with more powerful, 170hp petrol engines.
The new entry level VTR version, at a price of £19,995, will add even more value for money to the model's style and versatility, Citroen believes.
The new petrol engine will also be available on the VTR+ and Exclusive trim levels, with a new Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). This offers improved efficiency, fuel consumption and performance, apparently.
More than 25 per cent of SUV buyers are now choosing automatic transmission, so the new unit will appeal to a significant number of customers.
The CVT features steering wheel-mounted paddles to allow higher engine revs, while the system avoids unnecessary gear shifts where possible, provides engine braking and smooth 'gear changes'.
The new five-seater VTR will feature a substantial level of standard equipment, including automatic folding of the reclining and sliding split rear seats, cruise control, light-sensitive headlights and a split tailgate.
In addition, safety features such as ABS with EBD and ESP, plus six airbags, are all fitted as standard.
