Renault launches Twingo Extreme

Renault has expanded its small car offering with the launch of the new Extreme Twingo.

Following in the successful footsteps of the Clio and Modus models the French manufacturer released the Twingo to the British market in 2007.

Now, following an increased demand for the vehicle, the Dynamique and GT trim levels have been joined by the Extreme.

Coming with a 1.2 litre engine, the Extreme is priced at £7,500 - beating some of its closest competitors on value, coming in at £400 less than the entry-level Fiat 500.

According to Renault the car maintains the sporty exterior first seen on the Dynamique plus all the interior space for four occupants and their belongings to travel in comfort.

Furthermore ABS with EBD (electronic brake distribution), driver and front passenger lateral airbags and brake assist, are all standard on the Extreme.

Bluetooth mobile phones connections and iPod support are also built into the new model.

The Extreme also offers a combined consumption fuel economy of 50.4 mpg and low emissions of just 132 g/km.

Finally sports body styling, black internally adjustable door mirrors, fixed on-piece folding rear seat, two X 15W RDS radio CD with fingertip control, front fog lights, electric front windows, rev counter and 14" 'Fidji' wheel trims are also standard on the model.
