Proton's offer is only available until the end of October
Proton has cut the price of its limited edition GEN-2 range, boasting customers will be able to shave at least £2,000 off the retail price.
The GEN-2 will now be starting at just £6,995 for the 1.3 and £7,495 for the 1.6 GLS LE models respectively.
Standard specification includes electric front windows, twin airbags and air conditioning with pollen filter.
The GEN-2 GSX LE comes with electric front and rear windows, air conditioning with climate control, twin front and side airbags, front fog lamps and sporty tailgate spoiler.
It also has £2,800 shaved off the list price, as well as a leather interior worth £1,000 included gratis.
The GEN-2's 1.3 or 1.6 litre Lotus-engineered CamPro engine delivers a maximum output of 110 bhp and 148 Nm of torque.
To support this, an anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake distribution is standard along with side impact bars, crumple zones and anti-roll bar.
Reverse distance sensors and power assisted steering on all GEN-2 models also help to deliver a stress-free drive. While away from the car, an engine immobiliser, alarm with ignition lock protection and remote central locking provide substantial safeguards against the threat of ruffians.
Entertainment is provided by an integrated Blaupunkt radio/CD player with RDS and a four way speaker system and standard across the range are steering wheel mounted audio controls.
A Bluetooth hands-free kit which works through the audio system can also be fitted as an accessory.
All Proton petrol vehicles including the GEN-2 have a six year / 100,000 mile powertrain warranty, three year/ 60,000 mile total vehicle warranty and three years free RAC cover.
The offer is open until 31st October 2008.
