New Fabia Sport announced by Skoda
Skoda has announced a new edition to its flagship range, the Fabia Sport.
Fitting into the Czech manufactures portfolio next to the Fabia 3, the new model has a more aggressive, purposeful look.
In possession of 16-inch alloy wheels, boot spoiler, a chrome exhaust pipe and rear diffuser the new model will cost from £10,660, with the first deliveries expected in early 2008.
"There's a proven appetite among British buyers for sporty looking cars that don't come with the added expense of a big engine," said head of Skoda UK, Chris Craft.
"The Fabia Sport looks fantastic, but won't break the bank when it comes to insurance premiums and fuel bills - which is particularly pertinent at the moment."
Also included are curtain airbags, sunset glass, sports seats, front fog lights and a three-spoke leather sports steering wheel - which Skoda values at £1,825 but is selling for £940.
The 1.2 12V (70bhp) is the entry level model and costs £10,660, while the1.6 16V (105bhp) petrol costs £11,735.
Diesel versions cost £12,115 for the 1.4 TDI (80bhp) and £12,795 for the larger 1.9TDI (105bhp).
