Volvo releases price details of new V70 and S80
Volvo UK has released details of the entry level prices for two new models set for launch in the UK.
The all new V70 premium estate will start at £24,995 for petrol models, while the S80 will cost slightly less at £23,495.
For the diesel models prices start at £25,495 and £23,995 for the Volvo V70 and S80 respectively.
Both new vehicles utilise specially developed engines which are designed to reduce carbon emissions when compared to earlier cars.
The Volvo V70 is capable of an impressive 47.9mpg and the S80 produces 49.6mpg on a combined cycle.
"We have been working with Volvo in Sweden to develop 2-litre engines for the V70 and S80 as they are such an important benchmark for company car choice lists in the UK," explained Nick Connor, Volvo UK sales director.
"We know from industry data that 2-litre diesel engines in particular account for around 60-80 per cent of some rival manufacturers' executive car sales, so we are excited about the new sales opportunities these engines will provide."
The new models are available to order now and can be ready for delivery in January, with these two entry-level models expected to account for up to 60 per cent of all Volvo V70 and S80 sales in the UK.
