Jaguar XJ wins two awards
The Jaguar XJ has scooped two used car awards.
Firstly, the company's flagship model has been named the What Car? Best Luxury and Executive Car of 2007.
The award was made by a panel of industry aficionados, bringing a wealth of experience to their task.
"The XJ is a great car when it's new, and at used prices it's a steal. It's fast, frugal, comfy and very well built - a testament to the British Jaguar workforce," commented the judges making the award.
"They should be very proud"
The judges specified the cars lightweight aluminium frame, powerful V6 engine, and luxurious interior.
The vehicle also scooped the first ever Auto Trader Used Car Award.
This second award was voted for by the public, giving the magazines readers and viewers of ITV4's Used Car Roadshow a chance to vote.
Over 2,000 votes were registered for 200 vehicles, with Jaguar emerging the eventual winner.
"I am delighted that the XJ continues to receive recognition from the motoring fraternity and public alike," said Geoff Cousins, director, Jaguar UK, after receiving the award.
"The all aluminium XJ originally launched in 2003 is a fantastic car which offers customers the craftsmanship and refinement they have come to expect from a Jaguar, it continues to do well both with used and new car sales."
