Alfa Romeo: Cuore sportivo
Alfa Romeo’s cars have always had a “cuore sportivo” - a sporting heart. The designs have always been sexily Italian and they have a long record of creating cars that are much-loved by loyal owners and are tremendous fun to drive. As well as being a stylish road car, the brand has a fine motorsport history especially with the famous Mille Miglia event.
In 2010, the badge celebrated its centenary and in those 100 years, some truly iconic models have rolled off the production line. With a red cross and serpent badge design that has hardly changed in a century, important models by Alfa include the 24 HP from 1910, the 6C models of the 20s and 30s, the Guilietta of the 60s and 70s and the retro-tastic Alfasud and Alfetta variants, produced in the 70s and 80s.
The brand has experienced a revival in design, quality and technology especially since being taken over by the Fiat group in 2007. Today, there is slick new line-up of Alfa Romeo cars includes the 159, Mito and a brilliant new breed of the Giulietta with great style inside and out.
